Free Webinar - Deriving Rainfall Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) Curves for Future Climate Scenarios: A Publically Accessible, Online Tool
Wednesday September 10, 2014 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm (EDT)
ICLEI Canada is a proud supporter of the forthcoming online tool to calculate Rainfall Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) curves under climate change. We know that a tool for increasing municipal capacity to generate IDF curves is a vital piece of the research puzzle for communities looking to implement adaptation actions relating to increased or changed precipitation patterns. Through our support of this project, we will be able to better help municipalities’ obtain the required data on rainfall that enables them to make appropriate decisions as to how to adapt infrastructure and policy in the face of a changing climate.
On Wednesday September 10, join the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction, Western University, and the Canadian Water Network for a free webinar that will provide an introduction and demonstration of the free online tool, currently in draft form. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the tool and provide feedback.
