L\u2019initiative En route vers l\u2019objectif 1 du Canada vise \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger et \u00e0 conserver au moins 17 % du territoire et des \u00e9tendues d\u2019eau, et 10 % des zones c\u00f4ti\u00e8res et marines d\u2019ici 2020 pour aider \u00e0 enrayer la perte de la biodiversit\u00e9. L\u2019atteinte de l\u2019objectif 1 du Canada n\u00e9cessitera un effort pancanadien, comprenant la participation de bon nombre de minist\u00e8res, de groupes autochtones, de collectivit\u00e9s et d\u2019organisations \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle du Canada.
