Ce fut une ann\u00e9e bien remplie pour notre \u00e9quipe et pour les dirigeants locaux \u00e0 travers le pays. Les collectivit\u00e9s font preuve d\u2019une grande r\u00e9activit\u00e9 pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins urgents, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse de faire face aux pressions en mati\u00e8re de logement ou de lutter contre les effets croissants des changements climatiques, tout en \u0153uvrant \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation d\u2019objectifs climatiques importants. Cependant, comme nous le savons, le travail le plus important se fait \u00e0 un rythme qui d\u00e9pend de la confiance. \u00c9tablir des relations, promouvoir l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et \u0153uvrer \u00e0 la r\u00e9conciliation ne sont pas des choses qui peuvent \u00eatre faites \u00e0 la h\u00e2te. L\u2019enjeu qui nous attend est clair : comment agir dans l\u2019urgence tout en garantissant un impact r\u00e9el et durable?<\/p>\n

Chez ICLEI Canada, nous pensons que la r\u00e9ponse r\u00e9side dans le travail et l\u2019apprentissage en commun. L\u2019IFAM est un programme de formation et de collaboration con\u00e7u pour aider les administrations locales et r\u00e9gionales, les communaut\u00e9s autochtones et les organisations partenaires \u00e0 surmonter les difficult\u00e9s de mise en \u0153uvre. Nous avons r\u00e9cemment termin\u00e9 la hi\u00e9rarchisation des mesures d\u2019adaptation en tenant compte de l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et nous nous pr\u00e9parons \u00e0 aborder la question des obstacles.<\/p>\n

Les 13 membres de la cohorte municipale BCN ont \u00e9labor\u00e9 des feuilles de route, r\u00e9dig\u00e9 des rapports sur l\u2019\u00e9nergie et les \u00e9missions, et pr\u00e9parent actuellement des analyses de rentabilit\u00e9 sur le co\u00fbt de l\u2019inaction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le projet BCN pr\u00e9voit des formations et un renforcement des capacit\u00e9s sur quatre ans, con\u00e7u pour aider les municipalit\u00e9s \u00e0 adopter des cadres de performance \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique des b\u00e2timents. Cet automne, nous lan\u00e7ons une formation avec leurs secteurs du b\u00e2timent et travaillons \u00e0 la mise en place de cadres volontaires et de mesures incitatives pour une urbanisation plus \u00e9cologique.<\/p>\n

Les nouvelles fonctionnalit\u00e9s qui seront disponibles \u00e0 partir du 7 octobre permettront aux collectivit\u00e9s canadiennes de mieux comprendre les risques et les al\u00e9as climatiques.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perspectives Climatiques offre aux municipalit\u00e9s une source centralis\u00e9e o\u00f9 elles peuvent trouver les outils et les donn\u00e9es dont elles ont besoin pour faire progresser les initiatives de logement et d\u2019infrastructures sobres en carbone et r\u00e9silientes dans leurs collectivit\u00e9s. De nouvelles fonctionnalit\u00e9s, notamment un outil d\u2019\u00e9valuation rapide des risques et une nouvelle couche cartographique qui fournit un aper\u00e7u des profils d\u2019al\u00e9as dans les diff\u00e9rentes localit\u00e9s, fournissent aux collectivit\u00e9s les outils dont elles ont besoin pour anticiper les risques climatiques croissants en quelques \u00e9tapes simples.<\/p>\n

En collaboration avec les partenaires du projet et les membres du groupe conseil, des demandes de subvention sont en cours de pr\u00e9paration afin de mettre en \u0153uvre des projets r\u00e9silients aux changements climatiques dans la r\u00e9gion de la c\u00f4te nord du Pacifique et de la c\u00f4te Sunshine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le Collectif de r\u00e9silience climatique c\u00f4ti\u00e8re rassemble les autorit\u00e9s locales pour d\u00e9finir ensemble, hi\u00e9rarchiser et \u00e9laborer conjointement une r\u00e9silience commune, tout en partageant les connaissances et les ressources entre les diff\u00e9rentes comp\u00e9tences. Les enregistrements des s\u00e9ances mensuelles de \u00ab partage des connaissances \u00bb, auxquelles participent des conf\u00e9renciers invit\u00e9s de la r\u00e9gion et d\u2019ailleurs, sont accessibles \u00e0 tous.<\/p>\n

Les partenaires du projet se r\u00e9unissent cet automne avec les municipalit\u00e9s participant au \u00ab laboratoire vivant \u00bb pour d\u00e9cortiquer les r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019analyse co\u00fbts-avantages.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ce projet vise \u00e0 comprendre et \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie des investissements dans les infrastructures d\u2019adaptation aux changements climatiques, et comment cette logique pourrait influencer les cadres financiers afin de stimuler l\u2019investissement de capitaux priv\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
