Le projet sur les agents du changement pour l\u2019adaptation a permis de former et d\u2019appuyer des agents du changement pour l\u2019adaptation et la r\u00e9silience aux changements climatiques partout au Canada. Ce projet de formation \u00e9chelonn\u00e9 sur plusieurs ann\u00e9es a suscit\u00e9 la participation d\u2019un vaste \u00e9ventail d\u2019intervenants en Colombie-Britannique, en Ontario et \u00e0 Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador. Gr\u00e2ce au soutien technique du personnel d\u2019ICLEI et d\u2019experts r\u00e9gionaux, les municipalit\u00e9s participantes ont fait d\u2019\u00e9normes progr\u00e8s pour am\u00e9liorer leur r\u00e9silience.<\/p>\n

Au cours d\u2019une p\u00e9riode de deux ans, huit municipalit\u00e9s ont rassembl\u00e9 des intervenants de plus vastes processus communautaires afin d\u2019\u00e9valuer les risques et les vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re de changements climatiques, de cerner les mesures d\u2019adaptation et de pr\u00e9parer le terrain pour la mise en \u0153uvre d\u2019initiatives de r\u00e9silience \u00e0 court, \u00e0 moyen et \u00e0 long terme. M\u00eame si le processus \u00e9tait fond\u00e9 sur notre cadre de travail \u00ab\u2009B\u00e2tir des collectivit\u00e9s adapt\u00e9es et r\u00e9silientes (BARC)\u2009\u00bb, chaque collectivit\u00e9 a personnalis\u00e9 ses impacts et ses actions relativement aux changements climatiques afin qu\u2019ils refl\u00e8tent le tissu unique que composent ses communaut\u00e9s et ses partenaires intersectoriels pour la mise en \u0153uvre. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Adaptation Changemakers project trained and supported agents of change for climate adaptation and resilience across Canada. This multi-year training project engaged a wide variety of stakeholders in British Columbia, Ontario, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Over two years, eight municipalities served as the conveners of broader community processes to assess climate risks and vulnerabilities, identify adaptation actions, and set the stage for implementation of short, medium, and long-term resilience initiatives.
