Plan d\u2019\u00e9nergie communautaire et de r\u00e9duction des GES de la ville de Barrie<\/span><\/h1>\n

ICLEI Canada et LURA Consulting collaborent actuellement avec la ville de Barrie pour l\u2019\u00e9laboration de son Plan d\u2019\u00e9nergie communautaire et de r\u00e9duction des gaz \u00e0 effet de serre (GES). Le projet mise sur une mobilisation importante de la population et des intervenants afin d\u2019orienter la vision du Plan, d\u2019\u00e9clairer l\u2019\u00e9laboration de strat\u00e9gies et de favoriser le succ\u00e8s du projet \u00e0 long terme. Un inventaire de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence des \u00e9missions de GES satisfaisant aux exigences du protocole des Partenaires dans la protection du climat (PPC) et du Protocole mondial sur les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre dans les collectivit\u00e9s (Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Emissions ou GPC) sera produit. Une fois termin\u00e9, le Plan renfermera des strat\u00e9gies pour mettre en \u0153uvre, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle de la collectivit\u00e9, des mesures d\u2019efficience et de conservation \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques et des technologies \u00e9co\u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques \u00e0 faible \u00e9mission de carbone, ainsi que des initiatives d\u2019att\u00e9nuation des changements climatiques. Le Plan favorisera \u00e9galement le d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique au sein de la collectivit\u00e9. Une cartographie de l\u2019\u00e9nergie sera cr\u00e9\u00e9e. Cela permettra de d\u00e9couvrir o\u00f9 et comment la ville consomme son \u00e9nergie. Cette cartographie \u00e9clairera la d\u00e9finition des mesures recommand\u00e9es dans le Plan. Le projet respectera les exigences du programme du Plan \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique municipal (P\u00c9M) de l\u2019Ontario, ainsi que les trois premiers jalons du programme PPC.<\/p>\n

City of Barrie Community Energy and GHG Reduction Plan<\/span><\/h1>\r\n

ICLEI-Canada and LURA Consulting are currently working with the City of Barrie to develop a Community Energy and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reduction Plan. The project includes comprehensive public and stakeholder engagement that will guide the plan\u2019s vision, inform strategy development, and support the long-term success of the project. A baseline GHG emissions inventory that satisfies the requirements of the Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) Protocol and the Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GPC) will be produced. The completed plan will include strategies to implement community-wide energy efficiency and conservation, low-carbon energy technologies, and climate mitigation initiatives while also promoting economic development and energy security in the community. Energy mapping that shows how and where energy is used throughout the city will be created which will also inform the measures recommended in the plan. The project will meet the requirements of both Ontario\u2019s Municipal Energy Plan (MEP) program as well as the first three milestones of the PCP program.<\/p>\r\n
