Many will know Building Adaptive and Resilient Communities (BARC) as ICLEI Canada\u2019s national capacity building program for municipalities focused on adaptation and resilience. Since we first started BARC in 2007, well over 100 Canadian municipalities have used BARC\u2019s framework, tools and resources to guide their adaptation and resilience building efforts.<\/p>
Over the years, BARC has grown to become much more than a program. BARC is the window through which ICLEI engages in adaptation and resilience policy development, planning, applied research, resource development, capacity building, networking and much more. In fact, the open-source foundation established by BARC has become so widely used that it's impossible for ICLEI to track its uptake and application; however, we did our best in the 3rd BARC Impact Report.<\/p>
The 3rd BARC Impact Report includes reflections from the field, our vision for the future, and an overview of BARC\u2019s impact on communities across Canada.<\/p>
