The City of Windsor’s Community Energy Plan is a long-term plan that establishes a vision to create economic advantage, mitigate climate change, and improve energy performance. It strives to position Windsor as an energy center of excellence that boasts efficient, innovative and reliable energy systems that contribute to the quality of life of residents and businesses. It was developed for the City through a partnership between ICLEI Canada, LURA Consulting and Garforth International, over the course of an 18-month multi-stakeholder consultation process. Completed in 2017, the City is now implementing programming and fulfilling the vision established through the CEP process.
