Halifax Climate Communications Workshop

Offered through the ICLEI-FCM Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) Program, ICLEI Canada hosted a half-day workshop on climate communications. The workshop gave participants a chance to share their challenges with climate communications as well as identify examples of successful communications. Participants came from municipalities around Nova Scotia as well as from environmental non-governmental organizations (ENGOs) and the provincial government and were then given a presentation highlighting some of the theory around communications and stories of climate outreach efforts that have been successful. The workshop concluded with small groups developing communications strategies for a selected climate change solution.
