Shaping our future together

Kingston Climate Summit: Shaping our future together

June 4-5, 2025 | Queen’s University Biosciences Complex | Kingston, ON

The 2025 Kingston Climate Summit took place in Kingston, ON, on the traditional homeland of the Anishinabek, Haudenosaunee, and the Huron-Wendat from June 4 to 5, 2025. The event brought together changemakers from across Kingston and Southeastern Ontario to explore how collaboration can accelerate our path to carbon neutrality and regional climate resilience. Over the course of two days, we engaged in thought-provoking sessions, explored the climate challenges that matter most to the region, and took part in immersive study tours that showcased real local climate solutions. Most importantly, delegates built lasting relationships with other local leaders—from municipalities, businesses, organizations, and communities—committed to making a difference.

The program

The program featured a series of thought-provoking sessions, cross-cutting panels, on-the-ground study tours, and an engaging keynote by Brent Toderian. Discussion topics included:

  • Putting food at the heart of climate work;
  • Overcoming misinformation with climate communications;
  • The co-development of Kingston’s climate change adaptation plan;
  • Decarbonization tools and success stories in the City of Kingston and beyond;
  • And much more.
