Municipality of West Grey Corporate Climate Change Action Plan

ICLEI-Canada is currently working with the Municipality of West Grey to develop a Corporate Climate Change Action Plan focused on mitigation actions to reduce emissions from its own operations. A baseline inventory that follows the Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) Protocol and business-as-usual projection will be completed, along with an emissions reduction target and comprehensive set of strategies to reduce emissions. Energy mapping of municipal facilities will be completed to visually represent emissions intensity and aid in prioritizing strategies for the municipality. The completed plan will include energy efficiency measures, low-carbon alternatives, and renewable energy where appropriate and will satisfy the requirements of the PCP’s Corporate Milestone 1-3.
