Introducing Indicators
Introducing Indicators: A First Look at Using Indicators to Measure Adaptation Success
We all know that strong indicators are necessary to track progress and measure the effectiveness of adaptation actions, but choosing which indicators to use and track can be overwhelming.
The Introducing Indicators: A First Look at Using Indicators to Measure Adaptation Progress resource guide provides a starting point for municipalities and communities that are developing or updating climate adaptation plans and need to identify relevant, measurable indicators. It includes information on how to select and use indicators as well as a list of over 70 indicator examples.
The development of this resource was supported by the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks and Environment and Climate Change Canada as part of the Advancing Adaptation Project. We would also like to acknowledge those who generously shared their time and knowledge to help shape this resource.
